The Soundless Symphony
A steampunk fantasy of silence, glass, and immortality
About the Book
In Brasshaven, sound is close to sacred. Trams rattle over iron rails, foundries breathe in steady rhythm, and river clocks sing the hours in steam and metal. Arlen Vayne has built his whole life on that noise. He is a dying composer with a glass violin and one last ambition: to write the piece that will outlive him.
When the Church of Resonance offers him a way to escape death in exchange for his voice, Arlen accepts, convinced that true genius only needs time, not an audience. What follows is less a triumph than an unraveling, as he tries to shape a symphony the city will never hear while Brasshaven itself begins to slip out of tune.
The Soundless Symphony is a quiet, steampunk-leaning fantasy about art, memory, and the cost of wanting to leave something behind. It asks a simple question and refuses to let go of it: if silence lasts forever, what are we really paying for the chance to be heard?
